Funkerman - Paperbag Revolution

Funkerman, known to his postman as Ardie van Beek, is a very well known DJ and producer from Netherlands, also founder of Flamingo Recordings together with his buddy Fedde Le Grand. The F-man is back with his brand new two-track EP under the name 'Paperbag Revolution EP'.

The leading track 'Paperbag Revolution' demonstrates just how versatile an artist Funkerman actually is. Luring the listener in with a chilled ambient vibe reminiscent of his earlier work, he suddenly reminds us that this is not his first time on the decks by dropping in the kind of breakneck beat that helped to make 'Speed Up' such a global hit, fusing both sounds to create something unique. This is a more mature sound from Funkerman, adding layers of raw rhythm to the track to build to a crescendo, creating an effect that takes over the listener’s body and holds them for the duration of the song. 'Everyday Getaway' throws you straight into an industrial beat, a blend of horns and synth that sets an immediate mood. Its tracks like this that helped Funkerman gain international recognition and it starts as it means to go on. But as always Funkerman is an explorer playing with the expectations of his listeners, so just when you think you know what’s coming he surprises you by throwing in some free style jazz trumpet that takes the mood of the track to another level.

Let's everyone get his own paperbag and join the revolution! What a great start for a label to have as debut release this EP. It is available through Can You Feel It Records and you can purchase it on beatport.

Moguai & Westbam - Original Hardcore

After a long-standing relationship came to fruition, Moguai has joined forces with German techno purveyor Westbam to create a fresh, contemporary stomper in the form of 'Original Hardcore'. If there was ever a way to start the year off with a bang, then this is it, and it's being held in your very hands.

The original track features both the standing creators, Germany's brightest emerging star part-creating this rave-stab inflicted banger. Big descending beats, pumping 4-to-the-floor aesthetics and cut up orchestra samples, this is dance music royalty at its best. Moguai offers a solo interpretation next, squelching and editing his way forward with an unadulterated smasher, pinned down with punishing break beats and filter bass, before passing it back to Westbam for more focus on the vocal chop and synth lines, keeping the full flavour and trimming away the excess fat for heads down fare. We were keen to give you extra bang for your buck, so we got on the band wagaon, Aussie prog-house mainstay Bass Kleph stepping up for a pulsing remix, and Sonny Wharton completes the eclectic package with a funked-out, driving number and a rolling bassline. The EP was released through Skint Records and you can support it on beatport.

EDX - Embrace

Without a doubt, one of the biggest stars in house music, Italian born producer, EDX returns on Toolroom Records with his long awaited follow-up to the awesome 'Party Of Politics'. His unique productions and killer remixes for the likes of Deadmau5, Armand Van Helden and Dubfire have set EDX apart in the world of house music, establishing him as one of the hottest names on the scene, which is why we are delighted to announce his return to Toolroom Records with 'Embrace'.

Produced with typically supreme style, 'Embrace' begins with a gorgeous arpeggio floating effortlessly towards euphoric chords that elevates alongside atmospheric pads. The drop is nothing short of spectacular as the chords filter down to blend with a pumping groove. Through 'Embrace', EDX has turned out another awesome anthem that will be lighting up the biggest clubs! It was released today and you can buy it on beatport.

Alex Metric & Steve Angello - Open Your Eyes

Alex Metric is embarking on a new project with EMI. This project is called 'Open Your Eyes' and it's not an album in the traditional sense, but a fresh take on the idea. It will be a collection of his favourite remixes, some brand new exclusive ones, some new original material and some productions that he have done for other acts. This seems like the best way of collecting his different outlets for my music all in one place. There will be singles from the album and the first one being 'Open Your Eyes', which is the anticipated collaboration between Alex Metric and Steve Angello. This is my favourite 2011 record so far, It's a totally different sound for Steve Angello. Acid-alternative-progressive-electro sounds are mixed all in only one track. I like also the melodic intro and I believe it works great in a club.

The instrumental version of 'Open Your Eyes' released today through EMI UK, and then it will feature an indie legend on vocal duties for a full release in March 2011. Former 'Essential New Tune' on BBC Radio 1 and according to Pete Tong "This tune is so large and it's gonna have its own festival. It should have its own venue and it's going to have a festival named after this tune!". Alex dropped it as his last track before Swedish House Mafia came on at Brixton 29th May 2010. Watch the video here. Support it on beatport.

Live Your Life (Dirty Freek Remix)

2010 saw the Trans-Atlantic combination of American Erick Morillo and European Eddie Thoneick hitting the studio and creating a dancefloor bomb! 'Live Your Life' became one of the most played and requested records in the Ibiza season and has continued to gain momentum with support from the A-list including Pete Tong, Annie Mac, David Guetta, Axwell, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke and many more. Shawnee Taylor's killer vocals are just unbelievable! This is truely house music at its best with huge vocals, piano breakdowns, melody, every thing! With remixes from Chuckie, Eddie Thoneick, Antranig, Nyx and Syrix & Nelio already out, some new came out today by Mowgli, Redlight, Bill & Hurr and Dirty Freek. Dirty Freek is a UK-based DJ/producer and label owner of Freek' & 'Disco Bomb Records. His amazing remix already supported from Erick Morillo himself, don't forget to check the video below with him dopping it. Purchase every version you like on junodownload.

Digital Lab & Pedro Henriques - Tonight

Pedro Henriques was born in Brazil and raised in Miami, he has had a passion for music since an early age. Thus igniting his passion and drive for house music, Henriques has shown that what ever it is you want to be, there is no limit to imagination and a sense of courage will bloom in your belief. All the way from Miami Pedro and his buddy, the rising producer Digital Lab, teamed up to bring us the new banger 'Tonight'. Bigroom track, phat bassline and big chords, what more can you want? They are releasing firstly the instrumental version through Vicious Records and then they will be release a vocal mix too. It's already been supported by the two Greek-Belgium brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on their weekly radioshow for Radio FG. If you like it please support it on beatport.

Avicii - Sweet Dreams

Started as a bootleg, but then aproached the interest from many people and it got an official release.  I'm talking of course for Avicii's remake of 'Sweat Dreams'! It's a totally new different style from his usual productions with an electro touch by him and if you get bored the same piano style, I recommend you to check it. I really like the vocals which are in a robotic style, unfortunately many people don't like that, but I think it's something fresh and new. Already supported and played by the big Tiesto, watch him playing it live on youtube. The EP include three versions, Swede Dreams Mix, Sweeder Dreams Mix and Swede Dub Mix. This is the second release of the year for Avicii, after 'Street Dancer', which is already #1 on Beatport's overall chart. Can be this one the next? It was released today through Stockholm based label Joia Records and you can buy it on beatport.

Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers - Blow Up

Following yet another vintage year for Axtone in 2010 with choice releases from Axwell, Prok & Fitch, Matt Caseli & Danny Freakazoid & Adrian Lux the label starts 2011 with a bang (pun intended). 'Blow Up' introduces two new sets of producers to Axtone in the shape of Hard Rock Sofa & St Brothers. Collectively these Russian producers have been responsible for releases on the likes of Pink Star, Mutants, Cr2, Sirup, N.E.W.S, Nervous & many more but 'Blow Up' is set to be the record that launches them to the next level having been a mainstay in Axwell & the Swedish House Mafia’s record boxes (SD Cards) for the past 12 months.

Leading the way on the package Axwell teams up with Germany’s rising star Thomas Gold, sprinkling their magic dust on their re-vision drawing on the best parts of the Original and adding a new level of intensity that should see support right across the house music spectrum. On the proverbial ‘flip’ two of Australia’s finest, Hook N Sling & Goodwill come together turning the record inside out, combining a piano laden break with a huge drop for a pure peak time moment. This remix had the message boards & blogs in a flap upon Axwell’s debut airing during his special ‘Axmas’ mix on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show at the end of last year. Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers 'Blow Up' is available from today exclusively on beatport.

Saxxo - What About It / Soduku EP

Saxxo is a fresh house/tech-house project by superstar Nicky Romero and his partner in crime Nilson. This project started on the 1st of January 2011 and the first two tracks by Saxxo got immediately support by Fedde le Grand, Funkerman, Chocolate Puma and many more. These two tracks are called 'What About It' and 'Soduku' and they are on their first EP, which is already signed on Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman's label Flamingo Recordings. After three weeks of delay it's finally out! The EP was released today and you can buy the tracks on beatport.

Dhillon - Firefly Delta/ Dr Krauss EP

The upcoming star DJ and producer from Stockholm, Jeremy Olander, is following up the release of his latest EP on Spinnin Deep, including the anticipated track 'Tanja's Umbala' and the highly supported 'Screena' by Tiesto, is back. He is already receiving recognition from a wide range of artists such as Sander van Doorn, Dirty South, Menno de Jong, Gareth Emery and recently one of his upcomg ID tracks played by the one and only Eric Prydz. Very few artists has the chance to listen their tracks playing by Eric Prydz, this is a big achievement, watch this video with Eric Prydz playing Jeremy's track. Jeremy Olander now has a new darker alias -Dhillon- and he released on 18/12011 a new two track EP again on Spinnin Deep. 'Dr Krauss' and  'Firefly Delta' are the two tracks and I have to say that both of them are truely off the hook. Jeremy is here to rule the dancefloor! Please support his work on beatport.

Sil - Windows (2011 remixes)

The UK producer and DJ, Sonny Wharton strikes back with a new remix. He made an amazing remix in my opinion for Olav Basoski's all time classic song, which absolutely smashed the overall dance charts to pieces a few years back when the original landed, 'Windows', which he released it under his alias Sil back in 1991. 'Windows' already remixed by Olav Basoski himself, Chocolate Puma, Oliver Twizt and Ralvero back in the past. This powerful tech rework was released today together with Olav Basoski's new remix through Work Records, sublabel of Spinnin Records. Tiesto already supported and played Sonny Wharton's remix on his 'Tiesto's Club Life 198' radioshow, plus Mark Knight, who started his New Year eve set with this one! Additional support for both remixes by David Guetta, Sander van Doorn, Thomas Gold, DJ Chus, Robbie Rivera, Umek, Anthony Pappa and Riley & Durant! Buy these monsters on beatport.

HJM - Philadelphia

Alex Gaudino, who is known as the chief spokesman for Italian disco house, recruited HJM again on his own label, Magnificent Records. HJM released his debut single 'Milano' on Magnificent Records back in September of 2010 with remixes from the label owner and Emmanuel Dunn. For  the fourth installment of the label HJM is dropping 'Cities EP' with two tracks, 'Philadelphia' and 'Baltimore'. 'Philadelphia' is already supported from Tiesto on his 'Tiesto's Club Life 197' and Judge Jules via his radioshow on BBC Radio 1. If you want bigroom tracks, these two are a great choice. The EP was released 24/1/2011 and you can buy it on beatport.

Onnik - Pandemonium

Welcome to Onnik's world. A world populated by angular beat-making machines, fused together with wires and tunes that ripple across their circuit boards. A reputable tech-house producer, Onnik is passionate about his time in the studio. Dutch nu breed Onnik is going from strength to strength lately. 'Pandemonium' is such an example with it's driving beats and big breakdown. Always on top of the killers and fillers, Onnik will give you an uncensored piece of his musical mind. It was released through Big & Dirty Records and you can buy it on beatport.

Ali Payami - Cillan

The latest release on Kid Massive’s burgeoning label Get Down Recordings comes in the form of Ali Payami and his latest monster 'Cillan' with remixes from Damian William and Da Fresh. Swedish born Payami comes from a rich and musical background, which he uses to devastating effect in this synth driven winter warmer!

What better way to welcome in the New Year than with a solid slab of trance infused house music that is sure to put hands in the air and destroy clubs and stadiums alike.  With the original delivering on epic proportions, the remixes have a lot to live up to… and they don’t fail to deliver! There is only one way to describe Damian William’s take… HUGE. Building towards an ever-ascending climax, it drops into a crushing bass-line that is comparable only to a wrecking ball. Da Fresh on the other hand takes things down a notch with a more stripped back approach, using teasing synths from the original and then laying them down over subtler house beats.

Already supported by DBN, Kim Fai, Sarah Main, Peter Gelderblom, Robert Owens, Jesse Voorn and many more. This is yet another must buy package from a label that is fast becoming one of the UK's most respected house imprints. Purchase it on beatport.

Agent Greg feat. Terri B - Time Won't Wait

Following up his last year's hit 'What Is Love', which was a remake of 90's classic song with the same title 'What Is Love' by Haddaway, our greek boy Agent Greg is back. 17:44 Records' latest opus is a fresh new collaboration from some of the industry’s top-notch artists. Agent Greg teams up with House diva Terri B! for the pure peak time, floor smashing stomp-a-thon 'Time Won’t Wait'. On the remix front, Laurent Simeca delivers a devastating rework for the DJs out there who would rather let the music do the talking. And if that’s not enough, don’t forget to check out Part Two with world class remixes from Jonas Sellberg, Tim Royko and DJ Inphinity! It's for sure the best greek production that I heard for a while. Already Supported by Dabruck & Klein, Ron Carroll, Dimitri Vegas, Stephan Luke, Max Vangeli, Hardsoul, Kid Massive, Nino Anthony, Jesse Voorn, Sebastien Lintz and many others. 'Time Won’t Wait' was released todayand if you like it please support it on beatport.

Preview: Cicada - Fast Cars (Sebjak Remix)

Cicada is the name of a United Kingdom based electronic music band, composed of two members, Aaron Gilbert (a.k.a. Mr. Natural) and Alex Payne. Their new single 'Fast Cars' is coming really soon and already played by Andi Durrant, who is the one half of Riley & Durrant team, on his radioshow. On the remix duties the rising swedish producer, Sebjak. I totally shocked, when I listened his remix, because maybe it's one of his best productions ever. This one is way different from his usual sound and trust me it's off the hook! It will be released as a part of Critical Mass Records 60th installment!

K-Klass feat. Bobbi - Capture Me

As one of the most experienced and influential house production outfits still in the scene today, K-Klass demand a level of respect uncommon in the world of electronic production. Now down to two of the original members, Russell Morgan and Paul Roberts, the group has lost none of its potency as their latest release on Nocturnal Grooves shows. Pounding drums and white-noise rushes are combined with an old-school piano breakdown on the original, while on remix duties Jason Chance and Riley & Durrant serve up bubbling hot tech house and spicy progressive beats respectively. Kings Of Tomorrow feat. April - Take Me Back

Strikingly current yet hauntingly retrospective, 'Take Me Back' represents Sandy Rivera’s best work in recent memory and further cements his reputation as one of the greatest house producers of all time. Having chased down new collaborator April and persuaded her to provide the vocals for the track (he heard her singing as she rode past him on a bicycle), Rivera lays on subtle keys and a wandering bass line, underpinning a beautifully restrained song and resulting in a modern-day classic. This deep house masterpiece was released today through prestigious Defected inmprint. Purchase it on defected.

Dirty Secretz vs Kylie - Higher (Secretz' Takin You Higher Mix)

It got it's first airing on Andi Durrant's radio show on Capital FM last night and Dirty Secretz decided to give it out to all you lovely people that have been supporting them. Dan McKie & ABX - Mr. Dance Man

Dan McKie and ABX bring us an acid house piano tune. Classic orbital acid house vibes brought up to date on this chunky looked up number that'll have the house and garage fans going nuts. 'Mr. Dance Man' is sampling Armand Van Helden's song 'Je T'Aime' from his seventh studio album back in 2008. 'Je T'Aime' features Nicole Roux on vocals and sampling heavily the mid 80's house record 'Can You Dance' by Kenny 'Jammin' Jason and DJ Fast Eddie Smith. It was released 24/1/2011 through Hot Fridge Records and you can buy it on beatport.

Benny Benassi feat. T-Pain - Electroman (Congorock Remix)

Benny Benassi (born Marco Benassi) is a Grammy Award winning Italian DJ and producer of electro house music. Benny continues his lately commercial way like 'Spaceship' and this time he teamed up with the famous rapper T-Pain for the track 'Electroman' from his forthcoming album 'Spaceship'. To all producers, please stop collaborating with rappers! House music don't need them! Other songs that will be in Benny's album is 'Beautiful People' and 'Cinema'. Hold It Against Me (Paris FZ & Simo T, King Richard Remix)

Recently the new song from Britney Spears releaved and it's called 'Hold It Against Me'. It's a really bad song, because Britney is trying to copy Dubstep sounds and make more money, but she failed. Anyway my Montreal boys, Paris FZ & Simo T together with their friend King Richard turn it into a bomb. This unofficial remix is a total euphoric dancefloor killer! Don't forget King Richard is releasing really soon his remake of 'Stupidisco 2011' with Danny Torrence and Paris FZ & Simo T made a remix too (preview here).

Back Home (Luca Cassani Casting Couch Remix)

Chocolate Puma are totally at home with a unique sound that continues to cause a stir across all genres of house. Their beats have become a synonymous part of Chocolate Puma's armoury, and combined with the killer vocals of Colonel Red last year. 'Back Home' is clearly still an anthem on Defected's discography! Luca Cassani is one of Italy's premier producers and DJs, who made rumors with his innumerable remixes and releases for the world top labels. He strikes back home with a powerful progressive remix of the track. It was released 26/1/2011 through Sound Division and you can buy it on beatport.

G.reg - Funky Iced Boogie

After mystical journey through the Scottish Highlands, G.reg found his way to the interwebs. 2009, saw not one, but two of his bootlegs supported and played by Tiesto! And 2010 has held a similar vein with support from DJ DLG and Andy Murphy.

G.reg's bootlegs and edits make his sets rare, and his love of using acapellas, theres always something amazing happening. Inclined to randomly climb stages and stand on the decks whilst still gigging, G.reg certainly loves life up on stage. With lots of original production already brewing, 2011 will see G.reg smash up more of the interweb before he finally embarks on another mystical journey to earn another syllable or even a last name…

Today he gave for free one original production by him, which is called 'Funk Iced Boogie'. It's a great funky, disco influenced track with samples from the classic 'John Ozila - Funky Boogie'. If you want to know how to dance it check this video.

More info about G-reg on his facebook and soundcloud.

Kris Menace - Phoenix / Triangle EP

From the very first beat of 'Phoenix' you know that once again you're safely in the hands of a master producer. Someone capable of holding a dance floor's interest over three minutes of slowly building ethereal sounds, building up the tension before a wall of synths and bass kicks in and a room full of hands reach for the sky. On 'Triangle' Kris Menace serves up seven minutes of driving bleeps, beeps and bass topped off with an increasingly epic synth line that crowds will lose themselves in amongst the smoke and lights of the dance floor. Getting 2011 off to the best start possible is this new Size Records' EP. As one of the most highly regarded producers and DJs around today Kris has shown himself equally adept at turning out high quality techno, disco and house music that can ignite the biggest dance floors around the world. It available today on defected.

The BeatThiefs - Umbungo (Chocolate Puma Remix)

'Umbungo' is the latest offering from rising stars The BeatThiefs. This energetic tech house monster already killed dancefloors during ADE where it got its first road tests. For more dancefloor damage head over to the Chocolate Puma remix who have delivered probably one of their best remixes in a while. Known for delivering top class production, Chocolate Puma recreated Umbungo into a fierce house meets tribal monster. Big stuf! We do apologize for any harm done to the dancefloors. 'I Hate That You Love Me' is a song by the American rapper Diddy and his band Dirty Money from their fifth studio album 'Last Train To Paris'. It's a a really bangin' remix and not a bleeping dutch track. The title of Chuckie's remix refers to Chuckie's new residency at Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas.

Preview: Basto! - Gregory’s Theme (Olav Basoski Remix)

Olav Basoski is the "grand seigneur" of Dutch house music. Those who have heard him play one of his firing sets across the globe have been overwhelmed by his ability to lock a dancefloor into a groove for hours on end. Olav Basoski stood at the crib of the international house scene and has been on top of it ever since. Being also the leading man behind the infamous Dutch label Work Records, one of many subdivisions of Spinnin Records.

Once again he shows us that he deserves to be amongst the best producers in the world. He asked to do a remix for the amazing 'Gregory’s Theme' from Basto!, which already hammered by Pete Tong, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules and Robbie Rivera. Olav likes the piano theme of the track and he was really happy when he asked to do the remix. As you can see he put his golden touch with sort of disco and turn it into a different track. Any release date hasn't been announced yet so stay tuned

The Cube Guys is a club project born in 2000 from the collaboration between two of the most important Italian producers, Roberto Intrallazzi and Luca Provera. Even if they have different background and professional training, they’re united by their common desire to release new productions and give their own contribution to the international dance and club scene. They put together their previous experiences to launch their big project.

Prior to becoming a house producer, David Jones built an extensive experience as a producer through several tracks ranging in genres and Top charting in several countries. Between 2007 and 2008 David Jones and his friend and business partner Neuroxyde each created their own label, Starlight and Neurotraxx respectively, in which they took responsibilities as both A&R and main producers.

These Italians teamed up to bring us top class record, which is called 'Gave Me Love'. The EP include three versions, The Cube Guys Mix, David Jones Mix and Peter K & Andrew M Remix all in one package. It was released 22/1/2011 and you can buy it on beatport.

He played this bootleg/mash up of the famous track 'Red Hot Chili Peppers - Otherside' mixed with 'Sebjak & Richard Grey - Pump Up The Volume' and the hook is from 'Sidekick -Deep Fear'. While reading through the comments I noticed the producer Jus Jack said that the track was his bootleg and its available on his soundcloud to download for free! So here is this awesome edit below and the video of Norman Doray @ the Santa Catarina Festival in Green Valley, Brazil!
