Haji & Emanuel - Weekend (Marco Lys Remix)

A new forthcoming release on Azuli Records, after its first two amazing releases of the year with 'These Mornings' and 'Bibong EP'. "Tonight it’s party time, it’s party time tonight!", you know the lyrics of this classic song (Weekend) from 2005 by Haji & Emanuel. But what you don't know is just how intent Marco Lys' remix is in getting you on a dancefloor and keeping you there. Chopping the unmistakable disco hook into oblivion and adding a few cheekily retro chord stabs of his own, the Italiand DJ and producer from Venice, Marco Lys has absolutely nailed his version and refreshed an all-time classic. A really bouncy dancefloor killer that have been playing in Marco and Chris Lake's sets lately. Chris Lake dropped it at Qube, Lugano (Switzerland)a few days ago and it was huge, watch the video here. It was released today, also watch the live footage video here, when Lys dropped it in Kazakhstan past weekend, check at 1:53. Azuli Records is all about good music full stop, I'm very glab for this comeback! Purchase it on defected.

Michael Gray, Marco Lys & Plastik Planet feat. Xavier Flashbacks

The ever versatile Michael Gray, full Intention stalwart and star of 2000's hit 'Weekend' teams up with London based Italian Marco Lys of 'La Tromba' fame and Plastik Planet. The result is a subtly powerful groove that strikes a different chord from Gray's disco and electro outings and indeed from La Tromba's Latin flourishes. 'Flashbacks' grooves along on an undercurrent of funk embellished by a reduced octave, one-line vocal and sparingly employed organ stabs. Fresh tones for 2011, it was released today through Strictly Rhythm and you can buy it on djtunes.

Wild Out (Chris Lake & Marco Lys Remix)

Tipped by their peers as "the ones to watch", Demark & Manna have not yet proven them wrong, with their remixes and original productions topping charts all over the globe. After performing a few gigs together in 2009 and a couple of subsequent studio sessions, the duo realised they had a powerful connection, both creatively and on the live front and decided to join forces and things have been going from strength to strength ever since.

The phenomenal success looks set to continue into 2011 with the signing of some strong projects and more killer records on the way. The focus is on original productions with an album on the way for the end of the year and a string of records coming out on some heavy duty labels. Most recent, they teamed up with Mind Electric and the vocalist Max C for the single 'Wild Out' with a remix package including a Chris Lake & Marco Lys Remix. We think it's safe to say that the duo will be on the radar well into 2011 and beyond. It was released today through Vicious Records and you can buy it on beatport.
