The changing pace at which Thomas Gold's year has taken shape has been literally breathtaking for the Berlin based artist. The 'Breakthrough DJ / Producer 2010' according to Axwell and 'Rising Star 2010' according to Beatport is definitely THE name to look out for in 2011! With already big releases on labels like Size Records, Axtone Records, Phazing Records, Toolroom Records and Spinnin Records, you can't ignore him! One of the best tracks of last year's was 'Souk' from Jay C & Felix Baumgartner, which is sampling the all time classic 'Les Djinns' by Djuma Soundsystem. In the recent 'Toolroom Records Miami 2011', which is killing the Beatport Charts right now, there is a massive remix of 'Souk' from Thomas Gold. An epic slice of thumping house that will be destroying even the most demanding Miami dancefloors this month. Currently #18 on Beatport's overall Chart! For those who missed it, it's available on beatport from last month with many other great tracks.

Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers - Blow Up
Following yet another vintage year for Axtone in 2010 with choice releases from Axwell, Prok & Fitch, Matt Caseli & Danny Freakazoid & Adrian Lux the label starts 2011 with a bang (pun intended). 'Blow Up' introduces two new sets of producers to Axtone in the shape of Hard Rock Sofa & St Brothers. Collectively these Russian producers have been responsible for releases on the likes of Pink Star, Mutants, Cr2, Sirup, N.E.W.S, Nervous & many more but 'Blow Up' is set to be the record that launches them to the next level having been a mainstay in Axwell & the Swedish House Mafia’s record boxes (SD Cards) for the past 12 months.
Leading the way on the package Axwell teams up with Germany’s rising star Thomas Gold, sprinkling their magic dust on their re-vision drawing on the best parts of the Original and adding a new level of intensity that should see support right across the house music spectrum. On the proverbial ‘flip’ two of Australia’s finest, Hook N Sling & Goodwill come together turning the record inside out, combining a piano laden break with a huge drop for a pure peak time moment. This remix had the message boards & blogs in a flap upon Axwell’s debut airing during his special ‘Axmas’ mix on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show at the end of last year. Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers 'Blow Up' is available from today exclusively on beatport.

Preview: Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers - Blow Up

2011 begins for the Hard Rock Sofa with the conquest of a new peak, which previously anyone could not reach from the Russian house scene. The new joint track by Hard Rock Sofa alongside St. Brothers, which is called 'Blow Up' is scheduled to be released at the beginning of February on the label Axtone Records, which owner is the main star of the Swedish House Mafia, Axwell.
'Blow Up' was one of the most popular unreleased tracks in 2010, which played in almost all sets of Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso). This much anticipated track is remixed by Axwell himself with the best producer in 2010, according to Axwell in DJ MAG, Thomas Gold (preview here). Also the release will include remix from well-known Australian DJs and producers Hook N Sling & DJ Goodwill (preview here). It is the remix, which Axwell opened his Axmas mix at Pete Tong's radioshow in Christmas eve. Below is the preview to the Original Mix!

JES - Awaken (Thomas Gold Remix)
2010 is definitely the best for Thomas Gold career with lots of stuff by him. Two days ago as you know he released a remix of Moguai's new single 'We Want Your Soul', but the same day another remix by him was out. This one is more commercial, but still lovely, it's for JES' song 'Awaken'. Thomas Gold call this two releases as pre-xmas action, it was released 20/12/2010 through Tiesto's own label Magik Muzik Records and you can buy it on beatport.

Moguai - We Want Your Soul
Fresh from a superb run of form on Deadmau5’s Mau5trap imprint, Moguai swaps one insanely successful label for another with this, his debut on the mighty Size. Shredding a barely recognizable, Underworld-esque vocal to pieces, piling on layers of guttural synths and a gloriously soaring lead-line, this will have you reaching for the lazers quick than you know what to do with yourself. On the remix front Sebjak distorts the hell out of the synths for an electro-house workout while Thomas Gold flicks all the ‘euphoria’ levels up to 11 for a tech-trance stomp-a-thon. Equally suited to sold-out capacity stadiums and murky, underground sweatboxes, expect this to be mounting its assault on the Beatport top 10 very soon. It was released today 20/12/2010 and you can buy it on beatport.
