Here's a very interesting post I think. The last days there are some videos that buzzing the music sites. These videos shows Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Laidbcak Luke playing a mysterious opera house track. Yes, you heard right, opera house! The sound of the track is progressive with bigroom synths and some weird opera vocals. Well, actually the videos are FAKE (the DJs confirmed it) and of course the track is not the new Swedish House Mafia single. Because of the sound, many people from the first time thought that it's the next SHM single, then Laidback Luke's video appeard with another version of the track and some others believed that it's LBL's remix. To clear it up, this song is called 'Opera' and it's from an Italian DJ and producer, Stefano Mats Mattara feautirung the vocals by Rockman. Whoever made these videos clearly was trying for some feedback, because it's huge thing when SHM is playing a song! We don't know the responsible person, who did this stupid thing, but this is a big lesson for all of you! Don't believe anything you read on the internet, make a research and don't be naive! :) Anyway 'Opera' was released a few days ago on Move Club Records and you can check it on junodowload. Ripoff of 'One' or whatever, listen and judge by yourself!

Preview: Steve Angello - ID
Steve Josefsson Fragogiannis, better known as Steve Angello is one of the superstars in EDM. One third of Swedish House Mafia, alongside his buddies Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, the big brother of AN21, the label owner of Size Records, are some things that can describe this big personality. The Greek-Swedish (Greek father and Swedish mother) DJ and producer with so many solo and collaborations singles/remixes, recently dropped a new ID track at Marquee Club, Las Vegas. It's a massive dirty, tech house tune with some sort of vocals, which are saying "yeah yeah". I'll take the risk and I will say that it's one of his upcoming productions, because it's very similar with his last year's tracks 'KNAS' and 'Rave N Roll'. Also Steve mentioned a while ago that he finished a tech song! This is just my thoughts and I'm not telling that is official, I also believe that maybe it would be under his Mescal Kid alias. Anyway just check the live footage preview below and tell your thoughts!

Alex Metric & Steve Angello - Open Your Eyes
Alex Metric is embarking on a new project with EMI. This project is called 'Open Your Eyes' and it's not an album in the traditional sense, but a fresh take on the idea. It will be a collection of his favourite remixes, some brand new exclusive ones, some new original material and some productions that he have done for other acts. This seems like the best way of collecting his different outlets for my music all in one place. There will be singles from the album and the first one being 'Open Your Eyes', which is the anticipated collaboration between Alex Metric and Steve Angello. This is my favourite 2011 record so far, It's a totally different sound for Steve Angello. Acid-alternative-progressive-electro sounds are mixed all in only one track. I like also the melodic intro and I believe it works great in a club.
The instrumental version of 'Open Your Eyes' released today through EMI UK, and then it will feature an indie legend on vocal duties for a full release in March 2011. Former 'Essential New Tune' on BBC Radio 1 and according to Pete Tong "This tune is so large and it's gonna have its own festival. It should have its own venue and it's going to have a festival named after this tune!". Alex dropped it as his last track before Swedish House Mafia came on at Brixton 29th May 2010. Watch the video here. Support it on beatport.

Leave The World Behind (Christos Fourkis & djSaint Remix)
I don't believe that there is someone who don't know 'Leave The World Behind'. I'm telling it all the time, this track is an anthem and it will be after years too. The swedish trio Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso & Steve Angello teamed up back in 2009 with the dutchman Laidback Luke to create a real bomb featuring the famous vocals by Deborah Cox. Two fellow guys from my country, Greece, Christos Fourkis and djSaint (Kostas Daskalakis) made a very 2011 version of the song. It's in a totally different way, more deep, melodic and chill. I really love it and for this remix you can understand how amazing voice Deborah Cox has. I highly recommend it.

Swedish House Mafia - Miami 2 Ibiza (LUXE Edit) +bonus
If you listened our 'Daft Sound - Essential Mix 2010' you might remeber that there was an edit of Swedish House Mafia's smashing club banger 'Miami 2 Ibiza'. This little edit is from my buddy and partner of Daft Sound, LUXE. The original idea taken from the swedish trio, who they are playing their own intro vocal edit at their gigs. LUXE just finished the edit and he is ready to share it with all of us, after some requests. We hope you like it.
Also, I remind you that LUXE has made in the past the edit of Swedish House Mafia with 'Reach Out', 'You Got The Love' and 'Leave The World Behind'. I still think that this one is the best version and it sounds almost like the original, which is unreleased. I add links to download it too for those who don't have it.

You Make My World Go 2 Ibiza (Eddie Thoneick Bootleg)
2010 was a great year for the German producer and DJ, Eddie Thoneick. Some of the highlights of this year were the two amazing house singles with his friend Erick Morillo, 'Nothing Better' and 'Live Your Life'. If you know Eddie, you maybe know that he is making amazing bootlegs/mashups and he is sharing them for free with us. As a final New Year's Eve gift, he is giving his own vocal version of one of the best 2010 tracks, 'Miami 2 Ibiza' by Swedish House Mafia. If you don't like the official vocal version, try this one, for me the instrumental version will be always the best.
Yesterday Eddie Thoneick and Erick Morillo finished their brand new single 'Stronger'. Judging from their previous collaborations, it gonna be awesome too. Stay tuned for preview and release date.

Around The One (Olav Basoski Intro Bootleg)
Olav Basoski is very thankful for all the support that he is getting and he wants to give us somthing. The past months he is playing a bootleg in his sets and it works really well. It's the right track to play it as an intro or just a break in your sets. 'Around The One' is something between the club banger 'One' from the swedish trio, Swedish House Mafia and a bit of 'Around The World' by Daft Punk.
Do you want my opinion? PHAT! Check it now...

Be Release (Henri Leo Thiesen & Fran Garcia Bootleg)
To be honest I didn't know anything about Henri Leo Thiesen and Fran Garcia until I listened their brand new single 'Is This Love', which it was released yesterday on beatport. So today I searched for more info about them and I found a massive bootleg, that they released it for free a few days ago. Size Records progressive bomb 'Release' by Third Party with some sample from Steve Angello and Laidback Luke's classic anthem 'Be'. Supported by Dj Sammy, Julian Vegas, Alex Sayz, Alex Lamb and some others...
More info about Fran Garcia on his myspace and soundcloud.

Steve Angello & Faithless - Knas Insomnia (East & Young Mashup)
Two guys from Netherlands that I follow the past year and I believe that they are talented are East & Young. The made some good productions in the past especially 'Reveal' and 'Beautiful Evening', but there is one mashup, which they made it lately and it's for the beatport former topping track by Steve Angello 'KNAS'. This mashup with the anthem by Faithless 'Insomnia' already supported by Chuckie and Swedish House Mafia.
