Alex Metric & Steve Angello - Open Your Eyes

Alex Metric is embarking on a new project with EMI. This project is called 'Open Your Eyes' and it's not an album in the traditional sense, but a fresh take on the idea. It will be a collection of his favourite remixes, some brand new exclusive ones, some new original material and some productions that he have done for other acts. This seems like the best way of collecting his different outlets for my music all in one place. There will be singles from the album and the first one being 'Open Your Eyes', which is the anticipated collaboration between Alex Metric and Steve Angello. This is my favourite 2011 record so far, It's a totally different sound for Steve Angello. Acid-alternative-progressive-electro sounds are mixed all in only one track. I like also the melodic intro and I believe it works great in a club.

The instrumental version of 'Open Your Eyes' released today through EMI UK, and then it will feature an indie legend on vocal duties for a full release in March 2011. Former 'Essential New Tune' on BBC Radio 1 and according to Pete Tong "This tune is so large and it's gonna have its own festival. It should have its own venue and it's going to have a festival named after this tune!". Alex dropped it as his last track before Swedish House Mafia came on at Brixton 29th May 2010.
