Sebastien Leger - Origines

With an industrious and productive vigour, Sebastien Leger, has over the last decade become one of the most assured techno producers around. Eschewing the more obvious French filter house cliches his productions have taken on the robust dancefloor edge of his beloved Chicago house heroes and twisted them into his own electronic masterpieces. 'Origines' is the first of the three upcoming singles, taken from his forthcoming album with the same name, which is coming in May 2011 on his own imprint Mistakes Music. Groove, funky, disco, techy sounds as always, it already got the attention of James Talk. I'm really excited for his album, I hope to see Eric Prydz' anticipated album this year too! 'Origines' was released today and you can buy it on beatport.

Release: Mehdi Dressy - Stealth

"Home and Roots", that's the main vision that Mehdi Dressy, french DJ and producer, tries to keep in mind. Starting out by mixing on vinyl's and publishing sets of dance and deep-house music, on blogs and websites all around the internet, he moved onto house and club music, mixing on clubs cafes first then in more knowed clubs and producing his own tracks and edits. Now my man is back with a new heavy track, which is called 'Stealth'. Powerful bassline and pretty good melody, ready for the clubs! Be sure to have your eyes open for this rising and talented frenchman! 'Stealth' was released just a few days ago and it's his first production of the year. Purchase it on beatport.

Funkerman (real name Ardie van Beek) dropped the release of two new tracks 'Paperbag Revolution' and 'Everyday Getaway' and the Dutch DJ and producer remains one of the hardest working men on the house music scene. 'Paperbag Revolution' is a very unique and fresh track, but some of you maybe want some vocals on it. Don't worry, my man Bluelight did a great vocal edit! He combined the amazing vocals of Audiowhores & Roland Clark's song 'I'm Inspired' with Funkerman's slaming track. Trust me, this one will rock many dancefloors. Help us to spread it! It's available for free, but don't forget to buy the original on beatport.

Miranda (Oliver Huntemann Remix)

The two German artists first joined forced back in 2005 for the Luna / Miranda 12-inch, a record whose A-side was named after Romboy's daughter and Bodzin's wife (not the same person). Their collaborative output has remained steady since then, with releases on both Systematic (Romboy's label) and Hertzblut Recordings (Bodzin's). The new digital 'Luna EP' is already out with six new tracks, full of techno sounds.

Myths abound in the north when it comes to techno ground zero, and they refuse to go away. Oliver Huntemann is one of a handful of children of the north who, for what seems like an eternity, add an element of credence to the mythology. A heavy 9 minutes remix of 'Miranda' from the Hamburg based DJ and producer. Dark and deep techno sounds, but very melodic the same time, this is not for everyone, just for the underground lovers. Be sure to check it, because it's a must have! The EP was released 21/2/2011 and you can buy it on beatport.

Following its Brazil-World release collaboration plan, Clash Music brings a class-A team to the table. Summing up the original electro idea into a more hypnotic and minimal interpretation, Gui Boratto delivers a stylish remix that shows why he is Brazil's most acknowledge music producer at the moment. It is an epic EP that will surely hold up to Clash Music's exclusive releases.

Armin Van Buuren Ft Laura V - Drowning (Avicii Remix)

You might want to take a deep breath before risking a play on the new single of Armin van Buuren. Rushing over completely, 'Drowning' is the breathtaking fourth single taken from the 'Mirage' album. UK vocalist Laura V and Armin take you on a thrilling ride, perfectly translating the roller coasting feel of falling in love. After singles 'Full Focus', 'Not Giving Up On Love' featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor and 'This Light Between Us' with Christian Burns, Armin van Buuren chose to go for an anthem that represents nothing but feel-good. Sugar sweet, energetic and refreshingly housy, 'Drowning' reveals the diversity of Armin's sound.

Touching the edge of house and trance, 'Drowning' appeals to a wide audience, with remixers in demand. Swedish producer Avicii, one of the most popular producers of today's dance scene, managed to drown the track with his significant melodic bliss, contagious throughout the full 8 minutes. This massive remix was supposed to be released 28th February 2011, but it was released today instead through Armada Music, but it now on beatport. Thumbs up!

LL Ton J - Roger More (Phonat Re-Edit)

Unique, innovative, rule breaking, genre-spanning, just a few of the plaudits that have been used to describe the works of Phonat. John Dahlback, Tommy Trash & Sam Obernik - Come Undone (UBT014) by U-BOOT Recordings

Lauer & Canard - I Need You

After the release on Leaders Of The New School, which is a subdivision of Toolroom Records, two of Hungary's brightest stars and upcoming DJs/producers, Lauer & Canard got a full release of their massive single 'I Need You'. 'I Need You' makes no excuses for being a lively, feel good tune as a bed of springing drums bounce beneath sparkling stabs that lead towards a peak-time breakdown that won't fail to get the crowd rocking. Already being hammered from the label owner, Mark Knight, Toolroom Trax complete it with two stonking remixes from Richard Dinsdale and 123XYZ. This EP has something for everyone, it was released today and you can buy it on beatport. Get on it!

Copyright feat. Shovell - Kama Yeah (Roul and Doors Remix)

Copyright are Sam Holt and Gavin ‘Face’ Mills, the UK production duo that have emerged from the shadowy streets beneath the grey skies of London to beam rays of 4/4 happiness directly into the gratefully exultant faces of clubbers around the globe. And through this musical transition from rags to relative riches, there’s one thing at least that has remained consistent.

Copyright are ready to drop their first single for 2011. Copyright and the drum warrior Shovell have been collaborated in the past many times, for example 'Bulo' (2004), 'One Drum' (2006), 'Warrior Dance (Yema Ya)' (2009) and now everything seems to be fine for the big return. The name of their new single is 'Kama Yeah', pacha-style vocal house with gospel and afro influences! On the remix duty the respective Dutch music duo Roul and Doors, sharpen up the synth stabs for a techier, yet still highly emotive dancefloor bomb, tight beats and a big climax. The EP was released today through Defected Records and you can buy it on defected.

Mastiksoul - Yakuba

MastikSoul started his career in 1992, in a time where his life was split between Portugal and France, and from where he watched the raise of a new musical culture, that in association with his strong African roots designed his talent in a unique form. Being connected to techno music for a while and developed his DJ and producer skills, came in the late 90's with the desire of embracing other styles. His vision and his style, both clearly reflect his origins, very percussive and tribal. His latest 'The Real Carnaval EP' includes two amazing tracks, 'Yakuba' and 'Maria Samba'. New tools for the upcoming carnaval! It was released yesterday through 4Kenzo Recordings and you can buy it on beatport.
