Black Rose - Anthem

What do you get when you bring together two of the most respected pillars in today's House music culture? The answer is quite simple yet so hard to predict an anthem. Each of their respective CVs is as esteemed and complete as the other and when one brings together Jesse Rose and Henrik Schwarz under their Black Rose moniker, what you have here is an original, interesting, forward thinking project that has taken the festival world by storm in just one year.

This ad lib project came about organically after Henrik suggested he play live while Jesse DJ'd and after just a few performances, has been dubbed the best ever Live/DJ collaboration by Groove Magazine. Soon after, the talented twosome took to the studio with nothing more but a shared passion for infectious grooves and by casting away the fast food electronic sub genres that have been corroding the pure, Black Rose have sculpted a brilliant reggae infused single that is guaranteed to make your mouth water and your feet tap. Those reggae beats and vocal samples are taken from one of Jamaica's best artists back in the days, Barrington Levy, and his classic song 'Here I Come (Broader Than Broadway)' from 1985. 'Anthem' was released 14/2/2011 through Mode To Play Records and you can buy it on beatport. Don't forget to check the official music video of the song below.
