Preview: Alex Metric vs Steve Angello - Open Your Eyes

Alex Metric is embarking on a new project with EMI. This project is called 'Open Your Eyes' and it's not an album in the traditional sense, but a fresh take on the idea. It will be a collection of his favourite remixes, some brand new exclusive ones, some new original material and some productions that he have done for other acts. This seems like the best way of collecting his different outlets for my music all in one place. There will be singles from the album and the first one being 'Open Your Eyes', which is the anticipated collaboration between Alex Metric and Steve Angello. I'm really excited about this track, because it's a totally different sound for Steve Angello. Acid-alternative-progressive-electro sounds are mixed all in only one track. I like also the melodic intro and I believe it works great in a club. Have a listen, when Alex dropped it as his last track before Swedish House Mafia came on at Brixton 29th May 2010. 'Open Your Eyes' is set to be released later this month on Beatport, first as an instrumental and then it will feature an indie legend on vocal duties for a full release in March 2011. According to Pete Tong, the track will air on Friday through Essential Selection on BBC Radio 1 and it will be a world premier. So, be prepared, until then watch here the official teaser of the song.

Update: As I informed you a few days ago, Pete Tong played it last night as the first Essential New Tune for the year 2011. He even said "This tune is so large and it's gonna have its own festival. It's going to have a festival named after this tune!". Release date on 31st of January 2011 at beatport.
