The Black Project - Rasputin

Time for history lesson. Boney M is a disco group created by German record producer Frank Farian. Originally based in West Germany and the four original members of the group's official line-up were Jamaicans Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett, Maizie Williams from Montserrat and Bobby Farrell from Aruba. The group was formed in 1975 and achieved popularity during the disco era of the late 1970s. Bobby Farrell, who was the only male in the band, died one day before the NYE, last December. R.I.P. Bobby!

'Rasputin' is a 1978 disco hit single by Boney M., the second single off their hugely successful album 'Nightflight to Venus'. The song is a semi-biographical song whose subject and namesake is Grigori Rasputin. The Black Project is an act from Milan and composed of two DJs and producer, Nello Simioli & Black Simioli. They returned on LoudBit Records with a special remake of 'Rasputin'. This is house music! It was released 31/1/2011 and you can buy it on beatport.
