Preview: Soul Purpose - Sublim3 EP

Bread and butter, Jack Daniels and Coke, fish and chips; many things exist best in tandem, a theory that can be applied to the newly launched House music imprints Lo:Rise and Hi:Rise. Lo:Rise and Hi:Rise are the brand new brother and sister label that co exists by complimenting each other with their releases, both specialising in their own genre creating perfect Ying and Yang and togetherness. The concept is simple, the Lo:Rise musical philosophy is to bring forward those trackier, deeper and more underground releases by up and coming and established artists, while Hi:Rise will concentrate on the more soulful side of house, seeking out vocals and songs and working with new artists and songwriters. Both labels are headed by Aaron Ross former BBC Radio 1 Xtra presenter and chief A&R at Defected Records.

For the very second reelase of Lo:Rise Records we have a two track EP from Soul Purpose. The leading track is a remake of the classic 80's song 'Breakdown For Love' by Tavares, which Daft Punk used for their big hit 'High Life' from french duo's second studio album 'Discovery' (2001). The second track is called 'Sublim3', just like the EP is called! Any release info hasn't been announced yet, but I think it will be out very soon. Until then, check the preview video below.
